“Les Enfoirés”: a podcast gives voice to the “Army of the Heart” of Restaurants behind the TV show

by daily weby

At Les Enfoirés, there is what happens on stage, and which we see from the room during a series of concerts, in January at the Arkéa Arena in Bordeaux this year, then on television for broadcast, it will be this Friday March 1st on TF 1. There is also what happens behind, before, during and after. And that we see more rarely. In the shadows, there are a crowd of people working hard for the annual production of what is often presented as the biggest TV show of the year.

It is to this “army of the heart” that the Restos du Cœur decided to give voice this year in the form of the association’s first podcast, “Les Enfoirés, the army of the heart of Restaurants », a series to discover from this Monday, February 26, at the rate of one per day, on the Spotify, Deezer, Amazon, Apple and Google listening platforms.

Six episodes of around ten minutes to explore the soul of this shadowy troupe and “explore the creative process”, we explain.

“We live Enfoirés, we think Enfoirés all year round”

From the prop masters’ workshop – who call themselves “the prop masters” – to that of the sets, from make-up to hairdressing, the management, the cameramen or the kitchen, but also the choreographer, the communications team of the Restos took his microphone to question everyone behind the scenes in Bordeaux during the 2024 edition. They talk about their commitment, the values which are their driving force.

« On vit Bastardsit is believed Bastards all year, slips into the first episode, to listen to this Monday, Anne Marcassus, the artistic director of the show. There are people in the room and there are people who need it. »

“We know why we are here,” breathes Marine, who is in charge of the teleprompter. I don’t want that to be taken away from me, it’s an opportunity, a privilege, I’ve always wanted my work to be linked to a cause.” “One euro earned means a meal distributed,” explains Marjorie, the merchandising manager. In the evening, we count the number of meals we have collected. »

The second part focuses on the immense machinery set in motion each year, 800 costumes, 800 m2 of screens, a 600 m2 stage, the 30 trucks of equipment, the six days of assembly, the 700 people on site, including 300 volunteers…

A new series in preparation

The sequel will explore a commitment over the year, the Enfoirés and family spirit that reigns, the heavy heart to see the end of the adventure coming. On March 2, Saturday, a sort of bonus will also be posted online on what happened after the last concert, when the adrenaline goes down…

“Sound allows us to have fewer constraints, but it also allows us to transmit emotion,” we explain to the association to justify the choice of simple audio. We know how complicated access to these backstage areas, where around fifty personalities rub shoulders, can be; the audio allows maximum lightness for the production team. Even if it is really for little hands, and for them alone, that the microphone is held out.

The association intends to continue exploring the podcast field with a new series in preparation giving the voice of those who pass through the threshold of its centers, the people being helped who confide more easily over a simple microphone. “This is the way for us to go deeper,” they whisper to us at the Restaurants. This will allow us to meet different profiles to show the different forms of precariousness. »
