On the 718th day of the war in Ukraine, Russia has launched several drone attacks overnight in Kiev and the south of Ukraineinjuring at least one civilian and damaging a gas pipeline and residential buildings on the Mykolaiv river and seaport.
The Ukrainian Air Force has reported that its air defense systems have destroyed 40 of the 45 Shahed attack drones launched by Russia. Over kyiv all drones have been shot down on approach.
The Southern Military Command Ukraine has claimed that its air defense systems were activated for more than five hours and destroyed 26 Shahed drones launched by Russia over several southern regions, mainly over the region of Mykolaivnear the Black Sea.
“The priority for the enemy was once again the coastal strip of infrastructure and agro-industrial facilities,” the military said.
