After the arrival of clouds over a large part of the country this Thursday, rain gains ground this Friday. The weather will be dominated by further deterioration over most of the country, according to Météo France.
This morning, rains will circulate from eastern Languedoc and the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region to Auvergne Rhône-Alpes, Burgundy and Franche-Comté. They will be temporarily marked in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur, and snowy from 1,300-1,500 m on the Alpine massif.
A second area of rain or showers will appear on the Atlantic coast and will extend from New Aquitaine to Brittany and Lower Normandy during the morning. Elsewhere, the showers will be scattered, some clearings will be observed in the south of Occitanie and north of the Seine.
In the afternoon, dry weather with a little sunshine will gradually return from southern Brittany to northern Aquitaine, and from the plains of Languedoc to the lower Rhône valley. Everywhere else, the day will continue under unstable weather, with a succession of short clearings and sometimes marked and stormy showers.
The risk of frost will only concern the flowerbeds. In the plains, minimum temperatures will be between 3 and 7°C in general, between 7 and 11°C by the sea and on the Mediterranean border, with up to 13 degrees in Ajaccio in the morning. The maximums will reach 13 to 16°C, locally 17 to 19°C in Occitanie and Corsica.
In evening and tonight, no region will be safe from a thunderclap, but the risk of storms will be a little more marked from the center-east to Burgundy and from the Center-Val de Loire to Normandy. It will affect the Paris region at the end of the day. The south of the country could experience scattered rain, only Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) and Corsica should remain under the sun.
In Île-de-France, the day will be cloudy and scattered rain will cross the region from Yvelines to Seine-et-Marne. Beware of the risk of thunderstorms in the evening, before a calmer night. At the best of the day, temperatures will fluctuate between 13 and 15°C.
