The Mariannes 92 have already taken a step towards the coronation. Tuesday evening, the players of Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud defeated Nantes in the first leg of the Women’s League A final (3-0), at the Palais des Sports Marcel-Cerdan. This Friday, they will travel to Loire-Atlantique for the return match.
In the event of victory, the Ile-de-France residents will be champions of France. If they lost, regardless of the score, then they would have to play a golden set of 15 points. Kick-off will be at 8 p.m. in Nantes.
The Nantes women on the ropes
In the first leg, Levallois Paris Saint-Cloud won without a doubt, after a meeting in which its offensive philosophy upset the Neptunes of Nantes. However, the latter started as favorites, after finishing first in the regular season.
The Mariannes 92 were able to ride on the enthusiasm established after the semi-final against Mulhouse last week. Last Friday, they beat the Alsatians in the tie-break in the third and final match of the series.
The kickoff for the return final of the French women’s volleyball championship will be given this Friday, April 26 at 8 p.m. The meeting will be broadcast on the Sport channel in France and on the LNV TV website.
