In the large refectory room of the Emperor’s residence, in Garches (Hauts-de-Seine), sweets and small cakes were placed on the tables. The residents of this nursing home arrive slowly, curious and prepared. This Thursday afternoon at the beginning of February, they receive guests: CM 2 students from the neighboring school, as well as part of the “School to go back in time” team, a life-size experience thanks to which today’s teenagers have immersed themselves in yesterday’s society and the second part of which is broadcast this Monday evening, at 9:10 p.m., on M 6. Together, they will preview the era which concerns residents: the 1950s.
While waiting for the session to begin, three students who participated in the adventure comment on their memories. Among the first to go up, “the left hand tied to the table to become right-handed” and “the wine cut with water at lunch”. The most striking? No doubt for Keyra, 13 years old, and Léna, 14 years old, outraged by “the course on races”.
