The Dallas Mavericks have undertaken the transfer of PJ Washington, from the Charlotte Hornets, in exchange for Grant Williams, shooter Seth Curry and a future first round of the 2027 draft protected, Shams Charania reported from the media The Athletic.
The Texan franchise (finally) closes the arrival of Washington, who had been rumored a lot in recent days, and along the way it gets rid of one of its main signings of the summer: Grant Williams, who agreed to a contract for 4 years and 53 million Dollars.
Washington, without Miles Bridges involved, will presumably take a step forward in Dallas, and is aiming for ownership. This season he was averaging 13.6 points, 5.3 rebounds and 2.2 assists under Steve Clifford in 29 minutes per day.
Updated: As part of the trade, the Hornets are also sending two future second round picks to Jason Kidd’s Mavericks.
