The date is finally set. The president of the Analamanga taekwondo league, Franck Tiana Rakotomanana, reappointed to the same position in December after his first term, will be a candidate for the presidency of the Malagasy Taekwondo Federation (Fmtkd). The elective general assembly initially planned for February will finally be held on April 16 in Amboniloha Ivandry. This candidate will submit their applications on Saturday, the day before the deadline for submitting applications. “Raising the technical level of taekwondo players will be one of my priorities, especially in other regions. We will try to organize training courses and grade passing exams with the main aim of promoting room masters,” mentioned Franck Tiana Rakotomanana.
“The main and long-term objective will be participation as much as possible in international competitions and aiming for the Olympic ticket for the Olympic Games in 2028,” he launched as a challenge.
Duel
The candidate wishing to run for the position of president of the Fmtkd should meet the eligibility criteria required by the statutes, the internal regulations of the federation and must send his files by mail to the general secretariat or deposit them at the administrative headquarters of the Federation at Amboniloha Ivandry before April 7. The elective AGM will be preceded by the extraordinary and ordinary general meetings. The agenda for the Extraordinary General Meeting will address the eligibility criteria for the position of president as well as the address of address of the Federation at the headquarters of the Malagasy Olympic Committee.
The ordinary AG will open the meeting at 9 a.m. This will be devoted to the vote of the three members of the independent electoral commission in addition to the moral, technical and financial reports, followed by the validation of discharge. The elected president will proceed after the election to the constitution of the members of the executive office. Outgoing president Christian Ramanantsoa could be Franck Rakotomanana’s challenger. The current boss of the Fmtkd has not yet formalized his candidacy.
