Manjaka Njaralalain Andriamaro crowned world champion in the junior category.

One more feat. Madagascar continues to shine in online tul competition, the equivalent of kata in Japanese martial art. Three Malagasy taekwondoists reached the podium of the 2024 version of the online tul world championship.

Aged 12, Manjaka Njaralalaina Andriamaro was crowned world champion and won the gold medal in the junior category between 9 and 17 years old, holder of the red belt. Manjaka beat the Englishman Vincent Olliero and the Norwegian Leonard Jensen.

Still in the junior category from 9 to 17 years old but green belt, Mihasitiana Ravololoniaina, aged 11, narrowly missed the top step and settled for the silver medal. The vice-world champion was beaten by the Swede Yusef Attai. The Englishman Hill Aaron completes the podium.

And among adults aged 18 to 34 holding the black belt, Njiva Manankasina Ratahirintsoa, ​​5th dan, also won the silver medal. The title went to Finland’s Homen Jukka and Malaysian Goh Chin Wei finished in third place.

It is an international competition open to all practitioners, clubs and associations affiliated with the international body. The Malagasy flag bearers registered online on April 4. The results were published on April 15.

The World Open ITF Taekwondo Pattern championships online 2024 saw the participation of around twenty countries. Online competitions were mainly launched during the period of the Covid pandemic. Malagasy practitioners have always participated and shined during these periods.
