Ratomasy Andriamihaja (dr) beat Dimby Razakamalanto in the final.

Exchange and sharing. The challenge match dedicated to the capital’s veterans, initiated by the national technical director of table tennis, brought together around twenty participants. Most have been former members of the national team. The small tournament which took place on Sunday at the Aro Insurance sports complex in Ankadimbahoaka, was marked by the participation of volunteer from the Japan International Cooperation Agency (Jica), Takuya Sakamoto.

Young Vibes club player Ratomasy Andriamihaja defeated Dimby Razakamalanto from Jovena in the final by 3 sets to 1. Third place went to the national technical director, Tahiry Rakotoarisoa, eliminated after the suspense by Dimby in the semi-final. Tahiry defeated the Japanese Takuya by 3 sets to 0 in a classification match for third place.

“The objective is to create more exchanges between the Japanese technician and the veterans. It was more of a sharing session,” explains the DTN, Tahiry Rakotoarisoa. The Japanese volunteer has been on mission in Madagascar since March and will collaborate with the federation for two years. He has already led a training camp for young players and continues his visits to clubs with the aim of observing and evaluating the level of players at the bases.
