Having arrived in Madagascar for two weeks to see the reality on the ground of Malagasy Padel, the French expert and international coach of Padel, Julien Bondia, received sports journalists on Tuesday, late evening, at the Lamakoo Padel Center in Ambatobe to give a press conference.

Since his arrival in the country, he has taken stock of his activity. Sixteen instructors (that is to say almost half) of Padel have already been trained as part of the Orange MPPTour Performance.

The training program takes place in individual or group courses, with the aim of raising the technical level of Madagascan Padel. Surprised and happy with the attendance of the Malagasy players and technicians, Gary Ah-Waye, one of the first managers of Orange MPPTour, gave his opinion: “We are really surprised by the enthusiasm of the players, they are motivated to progress. Alongside the players, sixteen instructors followed the program, or almost half of the coaches in Madagascar. They received their certificate of completion on Tuesday April 23 at the Lamakoo Padel Center in Ambatobe.

As for the French expert Julien Bondia, he is confident about the future of Malagasy Padel and is considering a next step which could be internationally recognized certification training for instructors in Madagascar.

“I am in Madagascar to transmit as many keys and answers to questions as possible, while looking for areas of work to further progress Padel Malagasy, which is at a good level,” explained Julien Bondia.

Frédéric Debord, General Director of Orange Madagascar, is delighted with Orange Madagascar’s partnership with the MPPTour and the MPPTour Performance. “Our commitment is simple, to support the development of Padel in Madagascar. The program deployed with Julien Bondia perfectly meets this objective. This will certainly allow Madagascan Padel to soon compete with Padel from the sister islands and East Africa.”
