In contrast to some of his candidates, the chef and TV presenter Roland Trettl apparently didn’t have to go solo for very long. It was only in January of last year that he separated from his wife Daniela after twelve years. As he revealed in a current episode of his VOX show “First Dates – A Table for Two”, he fell in love again just a few months after the separation.
The 52-year-old revealed his love secret during the show to a lonely Cologne pensioner named Harry, who was a guest at the “First Dates” restaurant for the second time in search of true love. After telling Trettl about his last unsuccessful dating attempt in front of the camera, he suddenly surprised Trettl with the spontaneous question “And are you in love?”
In response, the moderator gave him a “Yes!” with a broad grin. When Harry asked how long this had been the case, he replied: “For seven months… But no one knows that except you now.” While the two finally left the scene laughing, the presenter, who was now officially in love, shook his head and said, “You’re about to ask me things, hey…”.
It is not yet known who the lady is who captured the heart of the cooking dome master seven months ago.
Trettl and his ex-wife Daniela announced their separation in an Instagram video side by side at the beginning of last year. Addressing his followers, Trettl explained: “You are important to us, you should be the ones who find out that Dani, this wonderful woman, and I have separated.” She added that they are separated as a couple, but as parents they will always be there together for their son.
