MADAGASCAR CUP – Six Analamanga clubs in the round of 32

Twelve teams validated their ticket for the round of 16 this weekend.

Twelve of the sixteen matches counting for the second preliminary round of the Madagascar Cup took place this weekend. Six Analamanga clubs out of the seven competing validated their ticket for the round of 16.

Three matches took place in the capital. Uscafoot D1 soundly beat VA Akademia from Alaotra-Mangoro, with a strong score of 8 to 2. The Blue Shark won 4 goals to 2 against Jet Kintana from Itasy. And AS Sainte Anne dismissed, for its part, another team from Analamanga, Kinga Sport, by 2 to 0.

Three other teams from Analamanga played and won against clubs from Itasy in Imerintsiatosika. FC Viva narrowly defeated Granada FC (0-0 tab 4-1). MI2, for its part, beat Asca at the end of the suspense by 2 to 1. And Toulon Académie crushed FC OBA from the same Itasy league. Two Amoron’i Mania clubs validated their qualification for the final phase of the national cup, namely AS 3A and AS Vanilantsika.

The Boeny league, for its part, recorded two qualified teams, namely Fosa Académie and Zoya FC. And the two other teams who punched their ticket this weekend are FCA Ilakaka from Ihorombe and Réseau Fort from Vatovavy-Fitovinany. Four other second preliminary round matches will be held on April 7, including two in Fenoarivo-Atsinanana and one match each in Ambanja and Ambilobe. The sixteen winning teams of this phase will join the sixteen PFL clubs in the round of 32.
