The images caused controversy in Spain. We see an SUV, under the amazed eyes of certain passers-by, skidding at very high speed on a beach in Palamos, in Catalonia, around sixty kilometers from the French border. The events occurred on Saturday, indicates the newspaper 3cat on its website.
The police were quickly able to locate the vehicle and identify its driver, a French man who was intoxicated. “The driver, of French nationality, was indicted for dangerous driving and alcoholism, punishable by a fine of more than a thousand euros,” the town hall said on X.
But this little “walk” on the beach could well cost this Frenchman more. “It was also verified that this car was listed as being awaiting payment of several fines for excessive speed,” said the town hall of Palamos, which said it had reported it to the competent authorities.
