Predictable. The new team of the Malagasy Football Federation (FMF) elected in October 2023 and chaired by Alfred Randriamanampisoa, has finally decided to thank two key officials within the administration of the national Malagasy football body.
After more than six months at the head of the Federation and months of hesitation, Alfred Randriamanampisoa and his colleagues replaced those responsible for managing the Federation. The former general secretary (SG), Ranja Mahatovo, protégé of Raoul Harizaka Rabekoto, was replaced by a new head, perhaps a trusted person of the boss of Malagasy football, Larah Nanou Rasolonjatovo, still little known in the field. The position of administrative and financial director (DAF) has been entrusted to a person who has already assumed responsibility within the administration of the Federation, Miranto Fenosoa.
The handover between the outgoing general secretary and her successor, as well as that between the former DAF and his replacement, was held discreetly on Friday. As usual, the information has been locked down thoroughly. The few officials contacted by telephone preferred not to give details on the names or the background of the new appointees. Such an appointment should normally go through a call for applications before proceeding to review the files and select the new managers.
