The funeral of Ginger, 3 years old, and her 20-month-old little brother, Seydou, the two young children killed by their father on April 11 in Essonne, will take place this Tuesday, April 30 at the Saint-Roch church in Chanteloup- les-Vignes (Yvelines).
The call for solidarity launched by the family to finance their funeral in particular made it possible to collect more than 10,000 euros and dozens of testimonies of support, through a fundraiser on Leetchi.
“Courage to you, last year my daughter was in the same nursery as your children, we met either in the morning or in the evening, since I heard the news yesterday, I have been thinking of you,” writes a mother . Another: “Sékina I think of you very much, I know you are strong and courageous to face this painful ordeal. I know that words cannot ease your pain but they are important to show you that we are here, your two little angels are watching over you from their little clouds. My mother’s heart and my thoughts go out to you and your family. »
“We hope she will begin to grieve”
On the evening of April 11, when the 32-year-old mother had filed a complaint in the afternoon at the police station for domestic violence committed between December 2023 and February 2024 and had taken refuge with her sister, her husband 34 years old had fatally stabbed his two children before trying to end his life on a departmental road in Essonne. When he was taken to hospital, he confessed to the facts. The two bodies were found in a field in Forges-les-Bains (Essonne).
“We don’t know if our sister is really directing,” confides one of her brothers. His reaction is cold for now. We hope that the funeral will allow him to begin to grieve. The aftermath will also be very complicated,” assures this family member who has hired a lawyer to advise her on the upcoming procedures. The father of the two children was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention for murder.
