A man stabbed at Juvisy-sur-Orge station, an investigation into attempted murder opened

Dramatic end to the day near Juvisy-sur-Orge station (Essonne), this Sunday, May 5. A man was seriously injured after being stabbed several times during a brawl. The perpetrator of the violence was able to flee, an investigation is underway.

The events occurred around 8 p.m. Passers-by reported the presence of a seriously injured young man in rue Danton, which borders Juvisy station. Emergency services and police arrive on site. The victim is bleeding profusely: he received, according to initial findings, three stab wounds to the abdomen. The firefighters and the Juvisy Smur took care of the young man, aged around twenty.

Vital prognosis committed

He was transferred in the evening to intensive care at the Kremlin-Bicêtre hospital (Val-de-Marne). His vital prognosis is then compromised. At the same time, police officers from the Juvisy police station are carrying out initial findings.

It appears that a fight broke out shortly before 8 p.m. in the station car park, between drunk people. Brawl during which stabbings were distributed. According to witnesses, the protagonists quickly left the scene immediately afterwards, including the victim, who walked through the corridors of the station before being found seriously injured.

The perpetrator of the stabbing is therefore on the run. An investigation for “attempted voluntary homicide” was opened to try to find him, confirms the Évry public prosecutor’s office, which specifies that “the victim’s vital prognosis is no longer in jeopardy”. The investigations are entrusted to the SIPJ (Departmental Judicial Police Service) of Essonne.

Knife attacks are not uncommon in the area. Last November, a man had already been stabbed three times, this time on the station platforms.
