Canadian price of VinFast VF 9 reduced by almost 30%

by daily weby

After the Fisker Ocean, it’s the turn of the VinFast VF 9 to undergo a major price reduction. This all comes at the dawn of the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show, where the Vietnamese manufacturer will be present, and the first deliveries of this model to Canada.

The large three-row SUV drops from an MSRP of $103,750 to $74,890 in ECO trim (up to 402 horsepower and 531 km of range), a decrease of $28,860 or 27.8% if you prefer. The price amounts to $77,308 including various applicable fees.

Of course, this is not enough to qualify for government subsidies, but the VF 9 thus gets closer to a Korean opponent that would have given it no chance otherwise, the Kia EV9. The latter has a base MSRP of $59,999 and qualifies for both federal and provincial rebates.

As for the VF 9 in Plus version, it requires an extra $4,000, or $78,890. Including fees, that’s $81,308. Certainly more luxurious and better equipped, it drops the maximum range to 468 km, in particular because of its 21 or 22 inch wheels instead of 20 inches.

By the way, there are no longer separate charges for battery rental. This is now included in the price. With a capacity of 123 kWh, it can recharge from 10 to 70% in less than 35 minutes via a fast terminal, according to VinFast.

That said, several functions and services require a subscription, including live traffic, satellite view, web browser, Android Auto integration as well as the virtual assistant.

Let’s not forget to mention that VinFast covers its vehicles for 10 years or 200,000 km, an exceptional warranty in the industry. There are currently two stores in Quebec, in Laval and Ville St-Laurent. The second is accompanied by a service center.

As for the VF 8 with two rows of seats, its MSRP starts at $53,600.
