The Sainte Chantal basketball players are aiming for a second victory today, in Andohalo.

The inter-high school basketball tournament called “All Step” is entering its third day and will be played on four different courts this Saturday: at the Ampefiloha modern high school, at the Andohalo high school, at the Jules Ferry high school and at the Jean-Joseph Rabearivelo high school, with precise times which begin at 8:30 a.m. for the first match and at 10 a.m. for the second meeting.

After the opening ceremony last Wednesday, in the presence of the president of the Malagasy Basketball Federation (FMBB), Jean Michel Ramaroson, the battle for the final title is open and promises major confrontations. In solidarity with the Analamanga basketball league, the FMBB will reward the winners of the inter-high school tournament for both boys and girls.

Nine high schools are located in the constituency of Analamanga, namely Akamasoa Andralanitra high school, Andohalo high school, Nanisana high school, Saint François Xavier Antanimena private high school, Sainte Chantal Soanierana private high school, Jean-Joseph Rabearivelo high school (LJJR) , the Lycée Jules Ferry (LJF) Faravohitra, the private Lycée Sainte Famille Mahamasina and the Lycée moderne Ampefiloha, will fight to obtain the beautiful trophies promised by the FMBB.

On the grounds of the Ampefiloha Modern High School (LMA), the boys who own the place start the meeting at 8:30 a.m. against the high school students from Sainte Famille (ISF). Having completed two matches, with a victory and a defeat, the protégés of Aimé Randria, or coach Mémé, coach of the LMA, want to confirm their victory acquired in pain last Wednesday. They must beat the Antanimena high school students to stay in the first two places in their group.

At the same time but on the Andohalo field, the boys from the Sainte Chantal Soanierana private high school want to confirm their first victory acquired on April 10. In full control and victorious without problem in front of the LMA boys, beating the Andohalo boys is an additional motivation for them, with the aim of confirming that the crushing victory with a score of 83-66 on April 10 was not a chance.

Théophile Randrianoelisoa, coach of Sainte Chantal, explained that: “My players are used to playing together. For today’s match, we intend to continue this good momentum and aim for a second victory.
