On the occasion of the 5th day of the qualifiers for CAN 2023, three new faces surface in the list of players selected to face Ghana on Sunday in the Barea arena in Mahamasina. In other words, Allan Rakotovazaha, Mahavy Tiana Randrianarisoa and Fenohasina Gilles Razafimaro successfully passed the traditional hazing this Wednesday, June 14 at the Ibis Hotel Ankorondrano, where coach Romuald Rakotondraibe’s protégés are staying during the current international break.

Allan Rakotovazaha – Evolving in the French championship, Allan is called up for the first time in his young career in Barea After having held the cage in the U23 category in previous years. Accompanied and encouraged by Nina and Mevin, the integration is going wonderfully for the native of France.

– Position: Goalkeeper
– Current club: Créteil II (France)
– Date of birth: October 03, 1999

Mahavy Tiana Randrianarisoa – Like Allan Rakotovazaha, the 19-year-old footballer caught the attention of coach Rôrô during matches for the U23 national team. In addition, with MAMA FC, Mahavy and his teammates had a great season by qualifying for the Orange Pro League Madagascar playoffs in the Southern Conference. He discovers the selection with the support of Tantely Avotriniaina who acts as a true mentor in the selection. During an interview, the SABNAM FC native said: “I really didn’t expect this selection. I feel happy and proud to be able to represent my country. As for the workouts, these are really rewarding and quite different from what I see on a daily basis in the club. Thanks to the advice of the coach and more experienced players, the progress is felt in my game”.
– Position: Right Full Back
– Current club: MAMA FC
– Date of birth: 09 November 2003

Fenohasina Gilles Razafimaro – Elected among the best hopes and co-top scorer of the 2021-2022 season in the Orange Pro League, the AJESAIA player is entering the world of the big boys. By succeeding in qualifying for the OPL playoffs, Fenohasina has so far achieved a perfect copy with his home club. Nevertheless, Fenohasina has a huge challenge ahead of him as the competition for the striker position is tough. Carolus, more and more focused as a central attacker, and through the experience acquired, is a perfect example for the young player to follow.
– Position: Striker
– Current club: AJESAIA
– Date of birth: January 27, 1999
