The Cerro Otto Cable Car inaugurated the winter season

by drbyos

The Cerro Otto Cable Car tourist complex reopened its doors on June 1st, after being closed for regular maintenance tasks during May. In this way, the 2023 winter season was inaugurated.

Every year, prior to each high season (May and November), the Cerro Otto Cable Car makes improvements to its infrastructure to expand and condition its services and specify the controls of the lifts.

On this occasion, in the upper station of the complex, different areas were remodeled that consisted of painting and decoration, and improvements with rest areas to “enjoy sitting watching the landscape”, and clearing of recreation areas, among others,”; while in the lower station (in the ticket office and office sector) conditioning works were carried out.

On the other hand, the Cable Car acquired a new Kassbohrer PB 600 snow groomer -which arrived in Bariloche on Saturday, June 10, after completing the import procedures- and a new Iveco 0 kilometer bus that adds to the current fleet of four buses of the cable car to transport passengers free of charge from the center to the complex. Work continues on the construction of a new gastronomic space, a 450-square-meter room, adjacent to the revolving confectionery, which will reduce waiting times to enter.

«All these works are possible thanks to the number of passengers who choose the Cerro Otto Cable Car excursion all year round. With this contribution, the Sara María Furman Foundation, owner of the complex, can make the necessary improvements and continue with the annual donations it makes to the Cooperating Association of the Bariloche Public Hospital and to two entities of the Argentine Jewish community of Buenos Aires”: the Association Civil Ory, for children with disabilities and the Le’Dor Vador Nursing Home, both located in CABA (Autonomous City of Buenos Aires / Argentina),” they said from the complex.
