Record number of participants. The Korean Ambassador’s Cup brought together four hundred and forty-five participants from wards to seniors categories. The champion of the -54kg senior category, Nerson Mampionona Njakarimanana of the ATF of Toamasina, was voted best fighter. Nerson is the defending national champion and category winner at the Chinjok Open. The trophy for best female fighter went to Gracia Ravoson. She achieved a double by winning the trophies for seniors and juniors -49kg. Gracia is also the reigning Madagascar champion and Chinjok Open gold medalist. The ATF Atsinanana club scored twice in the senior boys category. Odilon from the Tamatavi club won the second cup at 80kg. The rest was decided by other clubs. Bradley from Sonrang confirms his supremacy at -74kg, Jarry from Tkd Choc at 58kg, Ryan from 63kg, Jordan from Esca Para at 73kg and Ando from SabNam at 87kg. Three clubs each achieved a double in the girls’ category. Two fighters of the Lion confirm their seat of champion, in this case Erica at 62kg and Florentine at 57kg. Dynamic also snatched two trophies, won by Gracia at 49kg and Campbelle -45kg. And Gymcenter offered itself, for its part, two cups won by Sahondra at 67kg and Claudine 53kg. Yesterday was also marked by the presentation of the honorary 6th dan certificate to the president of the Malagasy Taekwondo Federation, Christian Ramanantsoa who is visiting the country after years spent abroad.
