The author of Bitcoin Standard, Saifedean Ammous, met this day with the President of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, to discuss the benefits of economic freedom policy. In addition, the National Bitcoin Office reported that Dr. Ammous would be joining the institution’s team of economic advisors.
“As an Austrian economist, bestselling author, and well-known bitcoiner, Saifedean will be a great addition to President Nayib Bukele’s bitcoin team, which includes Max Kaiser and Stacy Herbert,” the El Salvador Bitcoin Office detailed.
The Austrian also shared his excitement at joining the team, saying, “Delighted, honored and excited to start working with the Bitcoin Office in the first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender!”
