Last week, Mercado Libre was selected as one of the 100 most influential companies in the world by American Time magazine. The Argentine company, founded in 1999 by Galperin, shares this recognition with others such as Open AI, creator of ChatGPT, TikTok, IBM and Disney.

The 100 are divided into different categories, such as “leaders”, “disruptive”, “innovative”, “titans” and “pioneers”. Mercado Libre fell to the former and Time magazine described: “The Argentine e-commerce giant is Winning the game against Amazon in Latin America.
