The President, Ad Honorem, of the National Sports Institute (INDES), Yamil Bukele, confirmed that El Salvador will host the pre-qualifier for the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2023.
The tournament will take place at the “José Adolfo Pineda National Gym”; and with the participation of El Salvador, Cuba, Bahamas and Costa Rica, this coming Friday the activities of Group A of the pre-qualifier begin.
“The window begins this Friday in our country and we are visited by Costa Rica, Cuba and the Bahamas, against which El Salvador will play the pass to the next round where the best 16 teams from the American continent will be, so if we advance, we could visit to the United States, Brazil and Argentina, among other teams that are powerhouses in basketball,” Bukele said.
