Coach Granny gives way

The time for reckoning has arrived. Madagascar ranked fourteenth at the U19 World Cup which was played in Hungary from June 24 to July 2. After taking the Ankoay U18 national team to the place of vice-champion of the Afrobasket played at home in 2022 and after having played in the first World Cup in Hungary, coach Aimé Alain Marcel Randria (Coach Mémé) made an announcement yesterday, in Ivato. He will give up his place as coach of the national team to other technicians. “I am no longer willing to lead the Malagasy national team. I believe that I can no longer give more compared to what I have already brought, a title of vice-champion of Africa and participation in the World Cup, ”he maintains. Addressing his peers who have overwhelmed him with their criticisms, he invited them to replace him. “Come take my place and seek at least the title of vice-champion of Africa, then participate in the World Cup and we will see your abilities. Because it is the bird’s nest that is built with the beak,” he concludes.
