The Canadian company BlackBerry reported that it will stop manufacturing cell phones to only focus on Software and Services.
BlackBerry, which dominated the smartphone market a decade ago, has been displaced by Apple and Android phones; and currently it is only handled in 1% of the international market.
The BB as they were also known will now be manufactured under the PT Tiphone Mobile Indonesia Tbk license.
The decision to only focus on operating systems is due to the fact that the company is establishing itself in the Software sector, to the detriment of sales of the Black Berry device, said John Chen, executive director.
